Gear Ratio

hey guys i'm new to riding fixies, is it harder to skid with a 46:16 gear ratio? i'm searching for answers but i just can't do it even if i shift my weight forwards and pulling up my lead foot and pushing down my dominant foot. It would be a pleasure

Harder than with a 46x18, easier than with 46x14.

If you use 48X17 you get to wear out your tires in more places.
