Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I love my Sidis, but purchased two pairs- Duegis and Nikes for less than the cost of a pair of Sidi- all of which are non-leather (which is undesireable anyway, since the real thing stretches too much).

Harsh why?

They're comfortable and feel good.

if i have to answer that, we are obviously jamming in differant bands.. figurativly... but since you asked.. ill tell you my style opinions.. sure.. they are just opinions.. and i might be a majjor slob.. so take emm as so.. i do design for clothing co's sometimes.. so someone feels my style is worthy of something.. take that for what it is.. cause someone also got paid to design those sandles.. so that really means nothing...

1.. i dont like sandles
2. i really dont like "riverrunner-velcro-y" sandles...
3. i really really think style wise.. riverrunners on a bike can only be out done by one thing.. RIVERRUNNERS THAT CLIP IN ON A BIKE!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! i mean.. to me.. this is just BRUUUUUUTAAAAAL.. take what ever styleish old racer from back in the day.. and this is about as far as you can get to what he/she was about..

sure .. they are comfy and feel good.. so do my p.j's.. but i dont wear them around town..

like i said.. this is my lone opinion.. but you asked..

Sidis are dope, last a really long time and are very comfortable. Pricey but they last, mine are still going strong after five years of heavy use. Mine are made in Italy so would guess worker conditions are pretty good.

Vittoria and Northwave also make Vegan shoes.
Worker conditions in Italy are pretty much the highest in the world. Sidi's are definately the way to go.
