Help Identifying Bike
So I found someone locally selling this bike but they aren't aware of the model and it is currently unbranded. I'm going to take a closer look at it later today but I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what it might be from the pictures (see attached). Looks to me like a Motobecane Record but there are some small differences (perhaps some parts were updated). Does anyone recognize this bike?

Thanks, appreciate the help and the heads up on the stem size. From what I have managed to track down in the forum these ran about 250-300 or so shipped. Does that sound right? Seller had this listed for 275$, I'm thinking 200 or less is probably more reasonable but would appreciate feedback.

If it doesn't fit perfectly, you will be hard pressed to find stems for that bike. It'll be about 99% futile, unless you change the fork or use a quill adaptor.

Again, appreciate the feedback. I'm at least going to check it out to see how it rides but based on feedback I think the price would have to be very right to drop any money on this.
Regarding the 1 1/8 inch stem, aren't many of the BD bikes that size as well?

One inch threaded is extremely common and you can easily find a jillion variations of stems.
But one and one eigth inch threaded is like big foot. I literally abadoned a build project because I had a matching one and one eigth inch threaded fork and frame and couldn't find a stem.

Yep, 1-1/8" threaded stems are relatively easy to come by in used parts bins around here. Many will have a bit of rise and be really long, though, as was the fashion in early 1990s mtbs. Also limits you to 25.4 bars, of course.
A LOT of takeoffs cuz people get an old bike with one and get new fork/hs/stem.
