Tire Direction...

Hey guys,
I got some Gatorskins for my bike recently and today I decided to flip my rear wheel from fixed to SS (freewheel) and realized that when doing so, the tire rotation is reversed (the little arrow that shows which way the tire rotates is now backwards). Is this really a big deal or is it more a suggestion from the manufacturer? Anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks,
Matthew

the contact patch on a 23mm wide tire is very small....it doesn't really need any tread.
don't sweat it.

Cool. Thanks so much! I figured it didn't really matter all that much as people use flip-flop hubs all the time. I'm running 25's, but I'm assuming it's still not a big deal.

That's weird. I knew 28's were prone to spontaneous combustion, but I thought 25's were safe from that.

Love the Pake in your Pedalroom, by the way. Really sharp-looking ride.
