traffic cone to the head.
OOOOOOK...so I don't post new threads very often, but tonight i just felt like i had to share, so I am biking home tonight in brooklyn on myrtle ave and i see some kids holding a traffic cone. the thought crosses my mind..."hmm, that would be f*@#ed if they tried to throw that at me" and sure enough, before i know it a traffic cone is being hurled at me. i tried to swerve and miss it, but alas i ducked and it hit me, and for once i can actually say yeY! for helmets cause it really wouldve hurt probably had i not had one on, so that is another reason to wear helmets: crazy traffic cone throwing kids. thank god it didnt get jammed up in my front wheel. so that is my story...waht is wrong with kids these days. I didn't throw cones at bikers when i was a kid...oh well, i'm fine, my bike is fine...all i could do was yell "f%#k you!"(first thing that came to me)..and then laugh it off.

yeah the kids around clinton hill are little bastards. nothing better to do but start sh*t with people. This is a big reason i don't usually take myrtle. it's also littered with rocks and glass.

Last time kids threw things at me (a bunch of glass bottles, one after another), I swung around and rode straight at them, shouting. Gave them a good scare - they scattered, and I know a couple of them were still hiding under a car about 20 minutes later when I passed by again. I don't think they'll do it again anytime soon!

Don't worry about them, they will get done sooner or later if they keep it up. These things have a way of coming around.
Still nothing changes, and still Clinton Hill is gonna be part sh*t-hole because of it.
Place sure has changed since I went to school there tho.

Before I even noticed where this happened, I thought of Clinton Hill. It's probably the only place in New York I've ever had kids screw with me repeatedly. One time they rolled a razor scooter at me in the road.
Looking back I probably should have kept the razor scooter. It would really increase my transportation options - I could lock up my bike on the corner, and ride the scooter down the block to work.

i sent this thread to my friend who lives around there and he wrote back:
time to take another street, guys!
i got pelted with eggs on that same street a year or so ago, theres a few project buildings there, i guess those kids really dont like bikers, also that's the same place where a guy got shot in front of my car.
