Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Fyxation Quiver frameset?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about building up a somewhat unusual freewheel singlespeed, and the Fyxation Quiver frameset is looking like a good option. Can't find much in the way of opinions on it, but someone told me that the idea of that frame (maybe its price given the features?) makes him nervous.

Here's what has me interested in it:
Cromoly steel
Horizontal dropouts (I'd prefer forward-facing, but whatever)
Dropout spacing of 132.5mm
Clearance for big tires, without cantilever studs or disc mounts (I'm planning to use drum brakes and 32-35mm tires with full fenders)
Removable cable stops and general ease of mounting rack and fenders
Price

I realize that it's straight-gauge tubing, as opposed to the at least partially double-butted tubing of the Cross Check (which also costs a lot more and has canti studs), but presumably costs are being cut somewhere. What am I missing? For reference, I'm currently riding a Bianchi Volpe (double-butted cromoly) and a Panasonic Sport 500 (straight-gauge hi-ten steel), and I also had a Fuji Royale II (quad-butted "VaLite" vanadium steel) for a while.

What's "unusual" about a single speed bike with a freewheel? That's the very definition of what a single speed bike is.

That's not the "unusual" part....the front and rear drum brakes, combined with drop bars, is what makes it a little weird.
