Absntr--that bike is a beaut. You'll be prowling the streets of Chi in high style on that sexy thing. Glad to hear you're healing up OK. Post a trackstanding pic when you get a chance.

the pink accents on the lettering and the headset spacers make the whole thing cohesive, too. not like it needs it with those hubs, though. sweet hebus.

First of all, when does the pink Chris headset arrive? That's the gold leaf on top of the iced cake. Second, you beat me to building my dream bike, I'm going to take a second to weep for the Sophia I'll never have. The world should now revolve around you, or more specifically, your wheels. Rip it up man!

Good to hear that you're back on a bike, with a sweet new ride no less. Sophia is really a looker.
Do you know what Marcus' policy is about non-local orders? Think he'd be willing to lace up a set of wheels and ship them out of state? There's no one local that I'd trust with anything better than some junk I pulled out of Goodwill, so I'm looking for someone good to do an eventual wheel build for me.
Again, it's real good to hear that you're back riding.

the older you get the more you value your good health and your time to appreciate the beauty of that bicycle.

monkey - was that you in the blue track jacket and the blue Chrome?
Chicagoans - DCC ride, 2pm, north end of Wicker Park on Damen (the corner closest to Penny's/Damen Blue Line, etc). We'll congregate, shoot the crap and ride.

Ya. Should've stopped, but I was so hung over I couldn't talk. If the DCC is out, stop by Pie Eyed Pizzeria - 1111 W. Chicago around 5. Check out the Gios Torino track and slices on me.

You might want to look at BMX helmets- I run with one fall-winter-spring. They cover a lot more of the head than roadie-style helmets. I've got a pryme xl, and it runs from the nape of my neck to just above my eyebrows.
Too damn hot for summer, alas. I'm trying to find last years giro xen on sale somewhere.
fatbat.

Allan is vegan and yet he owns two brooks. It's pretty hard to find a long-lasting quality saddle that's not in leather. And a company like Brooks isn't a mass-slaughtering production like food industries are. Or maybe they are. Either way, if it lasts you're doing better than to buy wasteful plastic/synthetic products that have to be replaced continuously over time. My take on the whole vegan (as a lifestyle not a diet) thing.

Naz, where to find the words for that bike? Stunning. Beautiful. Amazing. Wow.
Glad to hear that the riding ban is lifted and that you can spend some time withthe new girl. You know it's bad when you get a grin on your face when someone else gets a new ride. You deserve it.
