I don't live in Virginia anymore but grew up in SW Virginia near Blacksburg. Later I lived in Charlottesville while I was in school and worked in several of the bike shops; Fleur De Lis, Blue Wheel, and GoPal. I visited Charlottesville this past June and wanted to visit the folks at Blue Wheel but they were in transit from moving from Elliewood to their new downtown location.

Although I haven't lived there in 20 years it still seems very much like home to me.

I was from Blacksburg but move here to Germany 5 years ago. Anyone bike along the Huckleberry trail there? How's that progressing? It had been proposed to extend it to Christiansburg. Another "Rails to Trails" success story.

It runs from the Blacksburg library to the Christiansburg mall right now. I have heard that it is being extended to run to the start of the old farm mountain bike trail, making the mountain bikers happy.
