I'm gonna be in Atlanta this weekend. From Google map, I think I'm near Vinings.
I really dislike driving to a ride, so are there any good routes near that area? Also, how's the traffic there? Should I avoid riding at certain time of the day?

I think you'd have to drive to all the other rides in the NW part of town.

If you are going to be in vinings or that general area hit the silver comet trail.. Starts near there, ends in Alabama

No traffic but walkers and bikes..

I use to ride some in the area when visiting for work, I just tried to stay off the main roads as much as possible. I never had any issues with drivers there. Stay off any road named Peachtree.
