Picked up a pair of PI gel-lite race gloves and a pair of smartwool cycling socks from REI. Although they only give out a 20% off one-item coupon, it looks like quite a lot of things are on sale at 25% off.

Also ordered something quite expensive that I really don't need... :p

I scored at Sam's club yesterday. I always buy the Snicker's Marathon Energy bars there... apparently they've come out with new product packaging.

They had six boxes left of the old packaging priced at under 5 bucks each. The new packaging was at regular price of $18. Yes, I snagged all six boxes. :D

I also received a sleeveless SCC jersey for Mother's Day this morning!

those gloves suck. mine didn't last 600 miles before they started to tear in the palm and the gel pads started moving around. if you got them cheap and have another pair or two to switch out then no worries. otherwise, they aren't going to last.

Thanks, but too late. I used them today. It's replacing my old PI gel-lite tour gloves, which lasted half a year. I also have a Spec BG gloves and they are still fine.

I have never had a pair of gel gloves that held up for long. The gel always shifts, bunches up, or hardens up after washing. Plain Pittard leather gloves tolerate washing well, which is the key to keeping them from falling apart from sweat damage.

Aren't all visors standard size?

Oh geez... So like 2 weeks ago i came across some nice Diadora Ergo + MTB shoes on performancebike.com which i ended up not purchasing since 1) i could only get them in gray and 2) i didn't really NEED them.

Due to my Bontrager XXX Seatpost not wanting to keep my saddle in one place (keeps sliding back), I have had enough with it..

Picked up this carbon seatpost on sale at Nashbar for $25 to replace the OEM alloy seatpost on my old Trek. It's not significantly lighter but I got it in the hopes of gaining a bit more vibration damping. After an initial 22-miler there does seem to be a noticeable improvement. Placebo effect perhaps, but hey - it was only $25 :p

So update to my above shoe purchase... After checking the Cannondale website, it seems that size 44 for them is equal to 10.5 USA sizing... Boo. Everybody else has 44 = 10. Since 43 is size 10 which is what i wanted i ended up ordering a second set. I'll just return the one that doesn't fit right. :) Still, a bit of extra shipping to make a return is still cheap compared to the original shoe price of nearly $300... :D

A Sugino XD 500 crank and finally a set of NOS Suntour bar-end friction shifters off E-Bay. Most of the funding came from selling one of my bike's last week.

True. Cytomax fruit punch gets two thumbs down (the throat), IMO. We've been drinking the Gu raspberry, which is my new favorite.
