Now I have to go back again tomorrow, since the return reversed my original points and the new points take 24 hours to hit the account. Gotta get a workstand!

good job! that's exactly what i woulda done! (the return and re-buy!)

Just got a Fox Overgrown saddle bag (expandable type). That thing is much larger than I thought. I can fit a full apple pie (chopped into quarters) in its compressed form. :p

I think I'll get the Ritchey OS alu handlebar from Performance before their sales end; then learn how to wrap bar tapes next weekend.

I have my wish list that has been building all week long... I'll pull the plug tomorrow and purchase everything with just enough time to get the free shipping and double points.

roadfix 09-29-06 01:14 PM

I need a new frame pump......can't decide whether to go with a full length frame pump or the Road Morph.....any suggestions?...:)

I've never tried frame pump, so don't know how good those are.

For the Road Morph, it takes me ~10 strokes to get an extra 10 psi at the 100psi+ level, which is ok by me.

I think Vicki and I will be free tomorrow night, courtesy of her mom babysitting, so we're going to go to the Performance Store in Ventura for a bit of shopping. She needs another pair of shorts and I may grab one as well. I've got about 5 pair but hate some and others are getting old. I'm also looking to replace my zillion year old windbreaker. They have a branded one that comes with a waist strap/bag so I can dump it mid-ride, which is perfect. The one I'm currently using I've had since about college days! yow...

Has anyone used a bag like this? It has separate pockets for two water bottles and helmet, plus the standard wet pocket, etc etc.

Funny you should say that. I'm looking at a tennis site right now for a bag that would work.

Picked up the workstand and Zinn's book today. Although they talked me in to actually buying them instead of using points since it's still double points time.

Yep, I have that bag. I use it to carry my riding gear in. Extra gloves, shorts, socks, jerseys, well stocked with energy bars and that kinda stuff. Just in case I forget something, I will have some in my bag. It rarely leaves my truck.

Actually thats not a bad idea. Use your points when they are having a 20% off sale.:D

Tiffanie 09-29-06 04:30 PM

I know. I had to roll my eyes for the dramatic effect. :D

Is it durable? It seemed rather flimsy the first time I looked at it. And do any major brands sell something like it?

Havent seen a specific cycling bag. I think the smaller size would be more practical, I got the large one. I suppose its durable, but I never really fill it to where it is heavy. If ya want a real good bag, look into these http://overtons.com/modperl/overtons...um=19236&fcat=, or the ones made by Oneal. You can find em at water ski/sports shops.

BigSean 09-29-06 04:56 PM

Here's the ones I was looking for. http://www.oneill.com/mens-products....esID=82&id=425

I don't think the smaller one they have at Performance has helmet/bottle places. The Oneill stuff looks cool.

Oneill is also lifetime guarntee. Ive had a duffle type Oniell for over 10 years and its been abused, great quality stuff. No specific bike bags, but you can get the size you need to carry all your stuff. Thats what Ill buy again when Im in need.
