Relax. I've got another cage on order. I'm also going to replace the rubber band that holds my pump on. Hard to find good rubber bands. I think I'll go to the produce store and get some of the ones they use on broccoli.

Tried my new cw-x baselayer from SierraTradingPost when they had the 30% sale. Feels kind of weird since it has some sort of shoulder support. It somehow reminds me of my sister hitting me whenever I hunch my back. Regardless of how it wicks moisture, I think it'll improve my posture.

Non-bike related; also picked up a pair of running shoes. Now I need to learn how to run...

Not really bike-related, but here's to hoping that this will help improve my fitness level!

My arms are sore the day after I played Wii Sports; just like going to the gym.

I've got a Wii. It kicks @$$. In fact, i'm about to run out there to download a new virtual console game that just came out today... Sin & Punishment from the N64. Never made it to the USA and was a Japan only game from Treasure, one of the best companies for developing shooter games.

And for my latest purchase, i just put down a deposit for two orange IRO Rob Roy frames for their current group buy:

https://irofixedgear.com/index.asp?Pa...PROD&ProdID=88

One for me, one for my brother in law. Hopefully it'll be here by christmas. His favorite color is orange.

The Conti 4000S tires came yesterday from PBK so they went on last night. Sacha smells like fresh rubber now.

Also got a notice that the Record skeleton brakes arrived at the local Performance store. I'll pick those up today.

Next in line... new carbon compact handlebars and getting a rear hitch/platform bike rack installed on my Volvo.... ::sigh::

Silly question I know but....what was wrong with the Chorus brakes? The color?

Nothing is wrong with them, Dan! Sacha's got a Record/Chorus mix, but she's slowly transforming herself into full Record. All the Chorus stuff will be cleaned and saved for another bike, something better suited for touring/bad weather.

Just wait. It will want Record too. Bikes can tell you're a pushover.

Is it that obvious?

EDIT: Actually, I'm well-versed in discipline. It's just when I get around bikes or dogs....

I got mine in the mail the other day and I love them. I can't believe how much better they feel than the spd's I've been using.

Got a Chorus crank from Colorado Cyclist (ultra fast shipping!) yesterday so hopefully the LBS can get it on today.

yea, I still have the SPDs but I noticed that the SPD peddles are getting a little hard to find. I guess I will invest in new peddles when I get new shoes.

I'm still kicking myself for not switching to a "road" pedal sooner, the PBK deal was awesome. You NEED new shoes now!

Sure beats smelling like used rubber!!!

Back on topic - your next bike should be that Colnago. I went down to Hrach's shop last week as I was passing by . . . there's this De Rosa in there . . . I walked out before I could hear it whisper my name.

You are positively evil, Luwin.

I checked, and that TT on a 45cm Colnago may be a bit long. I'm not exactly in the market for an $8000 bike right now, and Sacha is just a dandy climber!

I am working on my next bike, though. My old Chorus parts will prolly go on a used 44cm Ruby frame (if I can find one on ebay for cheap) with wider, tougher tires, rain fenders, big-@ss lights and maybe something like a rack. Definitely NO WHITE BAR TAPE, either!

I got to take one for a 5 mile ride. I will never be totally satisfied with my own bike again. Such a nice bike. I just don't see myself paying that much. If I ever win the lottery I never play, I might get one.
