A Colnago with a triple is a thing of beauty. What are you trying to say?

That Colnago rider got his money's worth!! For you to notice what kind of bike it was and what setup was on it - he knew you couldn't appreciate it if he was going fast!!

Leave the speed to the horsies. It's about looking good and having panache!!! :p

The jersey arrived in the mail yesterday. I got an XS and a S, figuring I'd send back the one that didn't fit.

The S fits, but is baggy. I can see how trapping air between the material and skin can keep you warmer. It's more comfortable, but so are my pajamas. And all the extra fabric makes me look rather porcine.

The XS fits better, closer to the skin. I prefer a race cut, but I'm not sure this jersey is meant to fit that close. Not sure how it will work if I wanted to add a warm baselayer underneath. Stuffed sausage, perhaps?

Decisions, decisions...

Well, if you post pics, we can help you decide! ;) :D

How is that a decision? Keep both, one to wear with base layers, one not.

Only one problem. I have to pay for both.

Snagged some NOS Centaur Ergo levers from Nashbar to go back on my Trek in it's incarnation as a commuter/rouring bike. $119 w/cable set :D The price bounces around randomly from day to day and I caught it at a low point.

Last chance to get non-QS Centaur levers that allow you to dump multiple gears in a single throw. As of 2007 only Chorus and Record have that feature.

Needed a smaller bag so that cars can see my blinker on my seatpost, so I got a Topeak, with the quick release mount. Now I can easily switch bags!

Since the budget is not quite ready for the uber-carbon frames of my dreams, here is the stopgap solution to my cracked Cinelli frame:

Very nice. New parts or are you moving all your existing components?

Well, the groupset prices on PBK right now are VERY tempting ($1000 for Chorus, are you kidding me?!?), but I will probably make due with my current components. I really would like to move to a compact crank, though...

Happytime 10-07-07 06:53 PM

I've read really good reviews about the new low-profile cranks made by Fulcrum.

Are PBK groupset prices lower than GVH's? Last I checked I jumping between the two to see which one have lower prices on certain items. The PBK price for the 4000 "S" tires was exceptional - $37, but GVH had them beat on some Campy parts.

Eh, call me crazy, but I think you'll still be faster than lightening on that thing as well. Glad you discovered the problem on the old one before it became a real problem.

Nice Vance. Looking forward to seeing it on the road! The Corsa is new for 2007 from Token. It has a slick internal cable routing system much like the Look 595. I'm going to be interested to see how it rides. Token is just starting to really make a push into the US market and has been very successful in Asia for a while. The frame is made in the same factory in Asia as some other big hitters such as Orbea, Specialized, etc.

I admire how you always seem to find things that are very unique including your Jerseys.

Here is what one looks like assembled:
