:( That's the one that was just my size in their stock frames. The F3 fork that came with it is worth $700 by itself!
I'll be anxious to see it built up. :) I am looking forward to how it feels. Does it bother you that I am matching all your bikes, like in a stalking kind of way (even the colors!)? Let me know what kind of TT bike you get so I can place my order. |

thomson: nice looking Serotta. I've developed a bit of a soft spot in my heart for red Serottas this past year.
Since I am new to Serottas is red the color to have for them? |
My CLX has arrived.
And I lied. Just ordered new groupset for the new frame... so it's not really just a frame replacement of the dented C'dale. :p |

Hey thanks Baracuda
Since I am new to Serottas is red the color to have for them? I just agreed to buy a new frameset today as well. Putting about half down on it, paying off the rest after the new year before it gets shipped to me. |

Ultegra SL minus the crank. PBK doesn't have it; and I think I'll go with R700 instead to save $100. The Ultegra SL/non-SL are almost the same price except for the cranks.

Palomar is a very bad mountain. I'm not going to bring my new bike. :p
That reminds me, I have to call off the appt at my lbs tomorrow for transferring over my bike components. Since this is a new groupset, I'll just do it myself. |
Speaking of PBK...
No white after Labor Day, right? |

BTW - the normal harangue about the sacrilege of hanging Shimano parts on an Italian frame is hanging in limbo, uncertain of what to do with itself. A classic Italian brand, but the CLX is made in Taiwan. This is so confusing. :(:D |

Yep. Hopefully because it's made in Taiwan and not Italy, the planets won't start aligning.
Just read the Colnago instructions/warranty manual. They are much more scary looking than C'dale's and mentions "how to extend the useful life of your frame" in almost every chapter. I guess I should've bought a Ti. |

I saw those too. They match my bike so well. But I don't like bottles that are completely opaque.

It is one of their signature colors. I had an 80's Nova custom painted a Lexus Matador Red Mica color before hanging a 2006 Campagnolo 10sp group on it. If I were going to get a second serotta, the Ti & Carbon would be the ideal compliment to the steelie.

Here's my completed 1986 Serotta Nova. Originally equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record group, it now sports a mix of Campagnolo Record (cranks), Chorus (bottom bracket & ergo shifters), Centaur (rest of group). Wheels are Daytona hubs laced to Open Pros. Cinelli stem & handlebars, the original piece of the original super record group remaining are the seat post and quick release levers.
http://jonpfischer.com/thecuda/photo...a/Serotta1.jpg some more photos in this thread: http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php...hlight=serotta and in the Serotta link in my sig has some photos too. Today's purchase is a NOS 2006 Fuji Team Issue WCS edition. |
Cleaned up at the Terry sale, esp since it was 50% off even the sale prices.
Casualty list: Two EtxeOndo Jerseys, EO tights, EO booties and gloves, Gore Xenon wet weather jacket, two Craft base layers. Some of them might go back, as I doubt it will be cold enough for the gloves and shoecovers. Some of the EO stuff is made for sub-freezing temps. |

Picked up a new Arione. Ridden about 200 miles on it so far, seems nice... |

I took the frame out. Drooled on it a little. Then put it back in the box. Won't have all the parts at least until next Wednesday. Downside of my last minute change of decision to build it up as a 2nd bike instead of a replacement after I received the frame. :p

nothing worng with having multiple bikes, I have 4 of them. Would been 5 if I didn't give my Felt to my friend.
|
Thanks! I kind of feel bad. Worse is I still haven't test rode the bike... I hope it is closer to my aluminum C'dale than being too comfy like the Spec Roubaix (personal pref). :p
Heading to sleep now. See you on Sunday! :D |
I like my black Assos knickers so much, that I had to pick up a pair in blue.. :D
http://eurobikewear.com/_images/rubiFIMille_blue.jpg And matching arm warmers http://eurobikewear.com/_images/Arm_blue.jpg Also picked up a black iBike Pro power meter. Figured I'd give it a go before dropping more coin on an SRM, or Power Tap.. as I (at this point) am not really sure if it is worth the investment for me. Stay tuned :) http://www.ibikesports.com/images/Black_iBike_sm.jpg |
