He definately has a good reputation. The price is right. I remember before christmas he has another bundle deal but it was more and I didnt really need all that extra stuff. Its a nice unit, and I was suprised at how easy it is to set up, since I get confused easily. I actually found it easier then a bike computer like my Cateye Astrale. |
Polar S150 for $31
I was in the local Performance shop this morning and saw a bunch of HRM on a table for 60% off the reduced price. Long-short I paid $31 for a brand new Polar S150 (factory refurbished but full warranty)
http://www.polarusa.com/Products/Consumer/S150.asp Lists for $139 but sells around $80 usually! |

Thats part of the reason I wanted the Garmin, one wireless unit and does all. However I will still use the Polar on mt bike rides. |

WHAT REALLY BUGS ME IS: the clear plastic cover over the display becomes almost invisible in the sun as it distorts and reflects like crazy.,,,,is there a fix for this>? |

I havent run into that problem. Guess I just rotate the watch a bit. I imagine that may be a problem on any hadle bar device with the sun at the right angle. Most of my rides are shaded by big tree's so its not as evident here. I know its much more open there. |

Congrats, Billy. |
the coolest thing is that i totally didn't expect to get it today. i went to the lbs to visit the one i had on layaway and nabbed this one instead. it was a lot less and exactly the same (06 instead of 07). I am going to be up very very early indeed.
|
good score on the 06, usually the only thing that changes between them are colors and decals. how many gears you got on there?
|
Nice rig there!!
a road ride in the very near future!! Congrats!:) |
