Hey John, can you strap your laptop to your bike and give us pics/updates during your ride tomorrow?

My lips are a bit chapped so when Dante and I visited the local sporting goods store we both bought some lip balm stuff. I put mine on in the store and the guys are sort of looking at me funny. I get outside, and Dante decides he's not going to put his on, "and oh, by the way, your lips are white."

Next stop, Rite-Aid for some regular Chap Stick.

John, I think you've been there too long.

You're starting to blend in with the environment.

I think the three of those guys are playing both ends against the middle with me... Bill is telling me I'm going to suffer and cry for mama, while Dante and John have been trying to convince me that it'll be a walk in the park. They are messing with my head.

Vance, you are going to be just fine. Fuel well and mentally tell yourself you aren't done until you cross the finish line. You can do this, and then kill whomever talked you into it later, but I suspect this one won't be your last.

Thanks ME. All kidding aside, I'm mostly worried that I usually start getting sore/tight at around 100. I'm hoping that I can stay ahead of the fuel curve enough to stave off anything too severe like that.

You'll do fine Vance... It's not going to be easy or a walk in the park, but you'll do fine.

It's really really really gorgeous up here. The surroundings alone would be enough to keep me going. I can't wait to come back when we have a few more days to explore.
