My wife gets sun poisoning easily (she's been to the hospital for it), and says the red spots can be an indicator, but it would be accompanied with a sunburn and feeling extremely fatigued (can't eat, can't drink). She says vitamin C helps.
Hey, your work doesn't know that. They just know you have red spots. Call in and call it meriderosis.
Make sure to label the thread NWS

Boy, has this thread grown! Well, I took a few pics, including some nipple shots (no, those won't be shared). I'll post in the morning. I think I have the funk for sure (oh, and it's spreading - worse tommorow and I'm headed to urgent care).

Hi ME,
Can't offer any constructive advice, just concern and hoping that it doesn't get worse before it gets better.

Sounds like heat rash to me. An old girlfriend used to get that often. I think you may have made it worse by putting the Proactive on it and really pissing off your skin. Put some aloe on it a few times a day and don't use any harsh soaps or perfume stuffs.

Sounds like heat rash to me, too, although it would be wise to have it checked out. With your fair skin you are more vulnerable to skin problems and its better to be safe than sorry.
My heat issues sometimes results in ghastly hives on exposed skin... very unsightly and uncomfortable, but they go away with cold compresses. Any kind of medication also changes the way my skin reacts to sun/heat as well.

ME, just out of curiosity, did you get the same thing while we did the Santa Barbara ride in April? It was probably hotter that day, and we basically rode the same area (except no Potrero, and no Grimes). I don't recall you had an issue that day. I do hope it doesn't get any worse, and I would definitely get it checked out. And no, I don't think we need to see pictures of it ... especially if I'm eating while I read or see the post.

Thanks, guys, for all of the advice, btw! . But, I'm headed to the doctor. It has now spread down my torso, and there are a few red dots as low as my navel! Also, some of them hurt (from picking at the yesterday I'm sure) and my upper back has more! Oh, and my scalp itches and I found one behind my ear I feel like a science project!

Other things to consider: New laundry detergent and/or fabric softener? Is the water in your apartment 'clean', ie: when you drink from the tap does it taste good or funky? Is that the same water you're washing your clothes in? Do you wash with hot or cold water? If you wash with cold, you might not be getting rid of all your post-ride funk (sweat, road grit, petrified Heed, etc.)
It sure sounds like hives. Any new medications or any new supplements you're trying? I've never gotten a heat rash that lasted that long or kept spreading when I got out of the sun.
I'm sure the doc will probably just give you a topical cream or antihistamine for it.
/that bedbug pic is giving me the heebiejeebies.
//ps. Google "Little Beach, Maui" for a topless Hawaii beach.

Not that it necessarily has anything to do with it, but I did see this lady serving at the Grand Tour lunch stop.

Okay, so I couldn't get in to see the doctor this morning and couldn't give up the time from work. But I did talk to my doctor on the phone, and she does think it is either heat rash (which can last up to two weeks if I was truly over exposed) or an allergic reaction. She does not think it is:
1. cooties
2. mumps
3. measles
4. herpes
5. bed bug or roach or spider bites
6. chicken pox
but she was on the fence as to whether or not it is:
7. my imagination
To prove it isn't, here are a few pics (all decent, so you needn't hide your children): PICTURES REMOVED DUE TO SENSITIVE VIEWERS.
Today, there are far more, but I didn't take pics. Annoying, but I'll live as long as it doesn't spread to my face.

Mary, if it is heat rash, which for some reason I have been getting this season as well on my legs and arms, it will sting and itch. Especially when you are in the sun or start to sweat.
Some refer to heat rash as "Prickly Rash" since it stings and burns like crazy.
