So with the question is, do I go for local climbing (Soledad repeats) where I know it's drizzling, or drive out to Palomar where I know it's 10 degrees colder than predicted and it might drizzle/rain.

Looks wet to me (live Palomar webcam): https://www.mustbeart.com/webcam/fm/index.html
But that's just one spot somewhere.

If you're heading out, be careful.

I was going to ride to La Jolla on the coast and return through RSF but I'm going to stay home, drink coffee and watch Sportcenter.

Yeah, seriously, Dan DON'T do it if it's raining. If you freeze to death, we'll eventually find your body, but you do not want to go flying off a slick, rain-soaked cliff into oblivion.

OK, no Palomar. I'll hit Soledad as many times as I can stand. At least it will be easy to bail when I want to - the Pannikin Cafe is close and home is just a few miles away.

Sportscenter. It's the best show on TV. It's like reading the sports section of the newspaper except you don't have to read and the pictures are better.

What channel? I have like 80 channels and can only watch about 20 of them. I hate cable.

If you don't get ESPN, why do you have a TV?

You shouldn't hate things solely because you don't understand them. That's what causes wars.

The best channel on any cable system is the FCC mandated local-access city/county channel. An amazing combination of the bizarre and the stupifyingly boring. Health department tips on how to wash your hands, followed by a Wiccan talk show followed by bad local folkies singing flat.

We have 3. Two city channels and a shared county/Palomar College channel. I like watching the math classes to get a gauge on how stupid i am.

Not solely because you don't understand them, yes. But if they annoy you too....

NW of Fallbrook. Instead of turning left to stay on Mission and exit FB last week, we'll go right, make a long descent, climb up, make a right on a little street that has a great view at the top, descend a narrow road with switchbacks to a lake, climb out, go through old Temecula, cross I 15, go through Rainbow, back to FB, some residential and side streets to Mission, back to start.

Meet at Daniel's Apple Market in Bonsall.

So, you're saying that because I don't speak or understand Spanish and Chinese, that I shouldn't hate my $90/month cable service that so graciously provides me with over 30 channels of soaps and dubbed films in other languages?

Wow, Joel, I'm going to start calling you Cable Guy, seeing as how you are such an advocate and all.
