So with the question is, do I go for local climbing (Soledad repeats) where I know it's drizzling, or drive out to Palomar where I know it's 10 degrees colder than predicted and it might drizzle/rain.

OK, no Palomar. I'll hit Soledad as many times as I can stand. At least it will be easy to bail when I want to - the Pannikin Cafe is close and home is just a few miles away.

NW of Fallbrook. Instead of turning left to stay on Mission and exit FB last week, we'll go right, make a long descent, climb up, make a right on a little street that has a great view at the top, descend a narrow road with switchbacks to a lake, climb out, go through old Temecula, cross I 15, go through Rainbow, back to FB, some residential and side streets to Mission, back to start.
