Smoked Belgian Abbey IPA. Does it sound tasty? It's "interesting."

I like it.

I enjoyed Karl Strauss' Imperial Amber not too long ago. Sneaks up behind you 'n knocks you on your ass though, so be careful.

I had a Dogfish Head Burton Baton last night, 10% ABV. After all these big beers I'm going to need to go through a 3.5% ABV phase.

My wife was tied up with meetings and asked if I wouldn't pick up some documents for her. A perfect chance to ride AND be productive (be of service). Of course I said yes (route's attached).

After the ride I started thinking about Quicksilver Messenger Service and what a blast of a ride it was.....then I started thinking about being a kid and listening to this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2fiSfw4pZ8

just thought I would share......

Mmm beer. All I have is two bottles of Fat Tire left in the fridge. I have a bottle of Whalers and some bottles of ginger beer, which means if I decide not to ride tomorrow I shall be drinking dark & stormy all night long, er, 'til 10 or so when I pass out asleep. Club ride turned into an act of attrition this morning. And there were hills. Oh gawd, the hills. I'm sore.

Did you do the Couser/Rice Cyn ride?

Sunday ride begins and ends at Karl Strauss.

No it was just the most complicated route to Swamis and back I've ever seen. Pretty much took in every freakin' hill in Vista & C'bad area. Thought about the Sunday ride but I dunno if I'll be feeling like it. Not really into going hard tomorrow.

You missed it. Jeff went with us so we took in every freakin' hill between RSF and Carlsbad. I didn't stay for lunch though.

This flavor is growing on me. I couldn't polish off a sixer of this, but having one with a meal isn't so bad.

I saw a Christmas tree rider tonight. How could I miss her?

It was beer week in SD last week. we went to a bar downtown called the neighborhood. Sampled 8 different IPAs. Still got up at 5:45 a.m. and banged out loops on Shelter Island.

I've never been to the Neighborhood. 8 different IPA's though? I like IPA's but it seems that everyone is stuck in a hop arms race and I'm burned out on it. The best IPA I had during beer week was Pizza Port San Clemente's Doheny Double IPA.

I don't like this new bikeforums.

No one does. The mods know this. I think they are trying to get rid of everyone. Get used to it.

two main complaints are
1) the coloring of the screen (too much white and the blue banners with blue user names makes it a little harder to see) which cannot be modified as a personal setting
2) click in a thread and it takes you to the start of the thread, not the point where you stopped reading

both of these are addressed in the first page of the thread to report problems and suggestions...

On to other news... Bourbon County Stout is a great beer filled with chocolate overtones and a smooth, creamy finish...

I like IPAs. I've tried double IPAs and I like them too. But I tried a quadruple IPA at The OB Noodle House and I didn't like it. So hoppy it was malty.

This thread is about how much the new bikeforums sucks. Beer is just what you need to get through it.

I had an Alesmith Yulesmith on cask tonight. It was great. Alesmith is one of the best.
