For the seatpost, you'll get a piece of mind every time you lift up your bike from the seat tube that it's re-enforced by a thomson inside.

riding with a faster group will only make you faster. I'd recommend going back to the old group and spend the time up near the front where is the pace is higher and workload is more. Take you turn in pulls, get that power/sprints you need to ride with the faster groups. If you've been doing that already then the B is the way to go but you prolly need more time on the saddle to get up to par. Most of those guys might ride 3-5 times a week. How long into the ride are you getting dropped?

I'm now in SoCal, does that mean I can hang out in this thread for the next week?

Didn't get to ride today either, nor will I tomorrow. Crossing fingers to get a plan for next Saturday though. (Anyone near the San Fernando Valley have a spare bike in 56-58cm, or have suggestions for a shop that does rentals?) I got one suggestion from the SFVBC club for a high end shop out near Burbank that I need to look into more, but open to other alternatives too.

I've had a 6'3"er in that bed and he slept just fine. It looks tinier than it is.

The size of the shoes make the bed look small?

That's because he pushed me off the other side and I ended up sleeping on the floor!

You should have bitten him. He would have awakened, I would have too, and then things could have gotten interesing...

First time with B, I got dropped 35 miles in (50 total). 2nd time and I got dropped almost right away. Today it was back and forth. I always get dropped on the flats, was able to catch up only because the main pack is waiting at traffic lights, and can hang with the main pack when climbing.

Yeah, I think I need to switch back to the C+.

So many pillows! I've stayed at Westin hotels before and they have those "heavenly beds" with many pillows. Just looking at them makes me sleepyzzzz...zzzzz...

You might need to change your cassette.

I think I'm really just maxed out. Avg heart rate is much higher than usual (10-15 bpm) but not much output.

Must be the lack of energy... I should go for Outback tonight.

Anyway, on a brighter note, time for some dinner, and perhaps some ice cream, before prepping Vivian for tomorrow. All you Palomar riders, see you tomorrow!
