We had tamales made by our neighbor for Christmas Eve dinner. They were wonderful...

Same "no gifts" for the adults in our family, too. Or gifts of food, donations, etc. Much less stress!

Damnit, you got that in before I could call you a Grand Deli poseur.

The hill was more fun Saturday when we descended it. On the other hand, the other side was more fun today.

She never carries a cell phone. It's sitting here plugged into the charger, just like it has been for the past week. I don't know where she picked up that habit.

Nope, GMR was at 8. I think it was Breathless Agony where I was doing 4, but I didn't see you on that one!

I get to hang out at my parents' house with my family (bro, sis, sis-in-law, dad, mom), eat yummy food, drink yummy drinks, and even got a short ride in. A little over an hour on the road with my brother. We did a quick loop over Oak Glen, from my parents' house in Yucaipa.

Got some cool gifts too (A book, some cash, a new porch light for my place, REI gift cert.), but the company is far better than the "stuff".

For Christmas, I got a near-perfect day.

Started off with an easy 50-something ride on a picture-perfect morning up the coast. No sand under my wheels, no wind that the newscasts had predicted and super company. Met up with some buds from the Beverly Hills Social Climbers (great group - Hi JJ!) but had to leave them to catch up to the LaGrange holiday ride. Always fun, except for one of the gals going down when she caught an edge. Hopefully, nothing too serious. Came back to join the folks for an afternoon of food and fun. Then more food. And still more food. ***urp*** Oh, and I got myself some Sidis, too.

Time to pass out in a caloric coma... Merry Christmas everyone!

Bikes: 2007 Leader 796R w/ 10sp DA and 2005 Jamis Dakar XLT FS MTB

I got no bike stuff. None.

Who knew that Old Navy had Cashmere sweaters? Well, I got one of those. I also got a super-wide spatula for fish. And a mandolin-slicer for slicing onions super thin....I got new Asics Gel-Trabuco 9 trail running shoes. I got a photo printer, so hopefully my pictures won't be forever banished to some folder on my C drive. The family got a Wii. I got two shiny sateen dress shirts which I hope to exchange for non-shiny and non-pimpdaddy dress shirts. Umm...More clothes...

Oh, and two tickets to a Sam the Cooking Guy clinic. That should be fun.

Well...then it'll be a short show, and I'll be able to hit the Red Lobster before it gets too busy.

I received a new camera from the kids plus much more than I was ever expecting. The generosity of family and friends never ceases to amaze me.

Oh, my sis is taking me to the Garth Brooks concert at the Staples Center in January... cool thing about it is that all proceeds are being donated to the Southern California 2008 Fire Relief Campaign!

I got a gift certificate to Budget Bicycles, a set of nice wine glasses, jewelry, two new jackets, antique miniature bicycle (to go in my collection...I love it!), several gift cards to various places and $500 that I've been told I MUST spend on a handbag...... I love the person dearly who gave me the money, but how in the world can I spend $500 on a HANDBAG. Joy, you'll have to help me.

I figure I'll just head to Coach. They have those high priced purses.
