Good shop to rent from in Tucson?

I'll be in Tucson for a weekend in Feb for a weekend. It's too short of a trip to bring my own bike. Where's a good shop to rent a road bike?

Also, any recommendations for a reasonable ride, say 50 to 60 miles? I'm winter riding in Alaska now, so I won't be in shape to go much longer than that.

I'll be back in March for a week or so of riding to get a jump start on the season.

Thanks for your help.

I was in Fairwheel bikes last Feb bemoaning the fact that I could not bring my bike from Wyoming and they said that I should have called them and they could have set me up with a bike.

Great shop and really nice to visitors!

Bikes: Custom Zona c/f tandem + Scott Plasma single

Another one that rents good quality bikes: Cycle Tucson, owned/operated by longtime former bike shop owners Gary and Jesse Menard.
They now do strictly bike rentals and organize tours.

Contact 'em at cycletucson.com or call 520 245-6011.
Tell 'em that Rudy and Kay sent you!

A reasonable ride is to the Saguario National Park, many beautiful itineraries. Climbing moderate for Jan./Feb. weather conditions. For routes: check GABA.

From: 1st star to the right...

Bikes: Merlin Ti Build, Trek Y-50, Bianchi Titanium Build, Custom Cuevas Road bike

Tucson Bicycles - at the time, I couldn't believe it was only $25 and that included a helmet! It was a decent Cannondale as well.

We did a group outing with Tucson Bike Rentals and Tours. Top notch, very high end. They have a fleet of new Specialized Carbon and aluminum bikes. They deliver to the entire Tucson metro area. Check them out at tucsonbikerentals.org. We had previously rented with Cycle Tucson, but the bikes are pretty old stuff and none of our guys got call backs.

Cycle Tucson is unfortunately out of business. I miss Gary and Jess.

I rented from two shops over the past year with great luck - both are mobile delivery bike rental companies.
Tucson Bike Rentals and Tours at tucsonbikerentals.org delivers Specialized road and mountain bikes. Oro Valley Bike Rentals and Tours represents Trek and Pivot. They are located at bikeaz.org/orovalley-bicycle-rentals.

Hope this helps anyone looking for bike rentals in Tucson. Tucson is an awesome place to road and mountain bike.
