Prescott Mingus Mountain Rise

Today I rode from Prescott Valley to the top of Mingus Mtn and back! Climb was just over 2000 ft in about 13 miles. Total trip was almost 27 miles in about 1:45. I'm pleased that I was able to make it...wasn't sure if I was in good enough shape combined with my bike's gearing. I've mostly been avoiding any climbs like the plague but now that I did it I think I'm going to like climbing. Next time I'll maybe go to Jerome and back! Anybody here ever make this ride?

Rode from Cotonwood through Jerome to Prescott 20 years ago on our tandem. It was pushing 100 degrees
and a workout; but the descent into Prescott was worth t!
