Eccentric Upgrade Recommendations Please

I'm looking to upgrade the eccentric on our old Gitane tandem to better solve timing chain slack issues.
From the looks of it our eccentric is made up of two stamped steel plates. Needless to say adjustment is not easy, from what I read there are a few different types and adjustment options. What works for you guys?

Try a Bushnell eccentric. Not sure if it fits you model. bushnelltandems.com

We are converting our Co-Mo to Bushnell. The 4 set screws work but always had me wondering.

If you look and get lucky there are good deals on Bushnell BB's. Ours was an eBay deal, new item at 1/2 of retail.

There have been a couple times when the off-road tandems needed a timing chain adjustment at the trailhead. Bushnell can be done most times with simple tools.
