Ugh, that is graduation weekend for us and My Mother in Law and Sister in Law arrive that Thursday from Connecticut and will be here through the weekend.I "might" be able to sneak away since it's probably going to be early.

What time on the 14th again? I'm too lazy to re-read everything. :-)

Who other than txvintage has conflict with the 14th? I'm out the following two weekends, so if we postpone from the 14th then we're looking at an early July ride.

Too lazy to read, too lazy to ride I'd say.

7:30 is what we were aiming for.

I'm a triple threat.....old, fat, and crippled.
I'll C'ya there. (you'll probably drop me on the climbs. But at 365-ish lbs I'm dead fast on the downhills...sometimes not even pedaling.)

If anyone happens to be riding East on Parker up around Los Rios could you keep an eye for my spleen? I think I lost it somewhere around the top of the hill.

Should you find yourself heading South on Shiloh between 14th and Renner and notice millions of tiny sparkly things it's the shattered remnants of my soul.

I'll have plenty of maps and cue sheets if anyone wants to form a B-ride group. Depending on wind, group(s) side, etc - we may try to keep the group together until the rest stop and then split into A/B groups for those who want to go faster/slower/etc.

Original Post updated. We're leaving from Celebration Park @ 7:30am. Link to google maps showing the park location is also located on the first post. I will post Route information a few days prior to the ride (probably by Friday afternoon). I'm waiting to see what the wind forecast will be on Sunday before selecting the route.

Can we get a headcount?
I'm coming and will probably ride a slower pace as I have to work in the afternoon.

I needed a reminder of just how grossly inadequate I am at riding a bicycle with any form.

I succeeded. I also found 30 mph wind gusts.

I'm probably not up for this one, but if you do another one, especially if it's closer to Dallas, I might make it out.

Depending on the route, the hills won't be too bad. There's a few rollers on the primary planned route, but they are spaced fairly well apart. However unless we get lucky and the wind turns around out of the North again, I'll probably opt for a more southernly direction.

I'm hoping to attend. Also, looking forward to seeing the route as I am not very familiar with the roads east of Central Expressway.

cuda2k, you should consider updating your signature to point to this thread instead of the Vintage ride from May 17.

Weather forecast for tomorrow morning: 76°F with 79% humidity and 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms with wind 10mph out of the SSE.
If there's a route that starts out heading south, that might be the one to pick.

I'm planning a southernly route or an West - East route. As much as I'd like to take us up to McKinney and back through Forest Grove the wind isn't favorable for that.

As far as the weather goes: if anyone wants my cell phone number for last minute judgement on if the ride is leaving before driving out here, please PM me for that information. Basically if it isn't raining @ 7:30 and there isn't a major line of rain on its way, I plan to ride. I will have ride a few maps available for those who may want to do a B-paced ride.
