Another pair of gloves lost!!

I don't know what is wrong but I lost my second pair of gloves this year while touring! Yesterday we were in the DC Metro and I was trying to figure out the ticket machine and took my gloves off. Well when we exited the Metro-NO GLOVES!! I left a pair on my back panniers this winter while in Florida and off we went and I finally noticed-NO GLOVES!
At least the kind I wear are the knit ones at about $8 a pair

I hate that! I lost 2 pair commuting and one pair when touring. Sometimes you get that cool pair of gloves and can never replace them.

Take gloves, glasses off and place in helmet, hang the helmet on your bike when getting off. You won't leave them behind and most likely not lose them.

Maybe you need to sew them together with a long piece of yarn and run the yarn through your jacket. Lose one more pair and you shall have no pie. (Yes, I have been watching nursery rhymes on youtube with my grand-daughter.)

Just be thankful you don't have silly-sized hands. Finding a pair that fits on my mitts is always a challenge.

Touring, I carry two pair of gloves, one pair has thick padding which feels great but takes forever to dry. The other pair dry quite fast but have thin padding for use on rainy days or if my other gloves are wet after washing them. I have not lost any gloves ... ... ... yet.

+1 When my gloves come off they immediately go either in my jersey pocket or my helmet. I started wearing bike gloves 45 years ago and don't recall ever losing a pair. I definitely have never lost any gloves while touring.

Must be a Buckeye thing, this loosing stuff. I've lost 2 hitch locks for my trailer in 4 months. Left them on the bumper and drove off. Someone surely found them-and with the keys!

Probably pretty common occurrence, happening at least once or twice to some riders. I bought a pair of planet bike crochet back gloves on a tour and found them to be the best and most comfortable I have ever had, for about four days, when they disappeared. I sometimes ride without gloves for a couple of days so had no idea where they were left. Since I pretty much only buy gloves when I am on the road, that was the only pair of that particular glove I have had. This thread has inspired me to order some more online, enough to last a couple thousand miles.(gloves typically last me about four two five hundred miles before disintegrating, that's why I started riding without on nice easy days, to make them last).

Lost the pair? I usually lose just one of the pair.

sew a long string to the gloves .. long enough to go up one sleeve across your back and down the other sleeve..

I used an Anorak as My Touring Rain Gear Top.. the 'handwarmer pocket' is where my Gloves went when , Wasn't wearing them..

One correction. Make sure you hang your glasses on your jersey if in a crowded area. I put mine in my helmet in Booth Bay and I think someone lifted them.

This is an easy one; since gloves ARE indispensable just buy two pairs when you buy 'em, stow the extra with the tool kit just in case.

Works fer me.

I have an extra set in my panniers when heading out for bike camping. Since I started doing that, I have not lost any.
