Across State Rides
I've done Iowa's RAGBRAI twice.
I've done the Oklahoma Freewheel once.
I've done a personal ride across my home state (Arkansas).
I've ridden most of the way across Missouri (Katy Trail).
I enjoy seeing new country. What are some other good cross-state organized event rides others enjoy?

Bikes: Many bikes in three states and two countries, mainly riding Moots Vamoots, Lynskey R265 disc and a Spot Denver Zephyr nowadays
The Seattle to Portland Classic and the Ride from Seattle to Vancouver and Party events are not cross state per se, b but they do cross into OTHER states (another country in the case of the RSVP). Neither is as long as RAGBRAI but the STP is actually larger in terms of allowed participants, with 10,000 riders per year vs 8500.
There is also a Ride Around Washington series, but my understanding is it takes place over a four year cycle, so if you do four years in a row you will do the entire span.
All three are sponsored by the Cascade Bicycle Club Cascade Bicycle Club | Improving Lives Through Bicycling

Does it have to be across a state? Cycle Oregon is usually a great ride, but it's typically not across the state. In fact, when I did it in 2002 for the 15th anniversary we crossed the entire state. It's a big state. Including the optional mileage one day I think I averaged round 93 miles/day in six days of riding with one day off. I think they are going to Hell's Canyon this year.

I think the Fort Worth Bicycling Association has done a ride across Texas. I understand this used to be a regular thing was resurrected last year, not sure if it's supposed to be a regular thing again or what.

North Carolina has the Mountain to Coast ride. I've never done it.
I have a friend who has done the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure, where they do not cross the state, generally, but rather they pick an area of focus and explore a different area every year.

Another for the list is Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee (BRAT::Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee). Year I did it, we went within five miles of crossing the state - but on the skinny dimensions

I know that Georgia has a cross-state ride, and Maine has one that goes down the coast.
As previously mentioned, both Ride the Rockies and Cycle Oregon are excellent rides, without going "across" the state end to end.

I did BRAT when it went through eastern TN. Really beautiful country (other than Dollywood and Gatlinburg has become gross as well).
I'm doing Bike Ride Across MN this year. I can't say much about the ride (yet) but I am planning on bringing a liberal supply of DEET,
. Seriously, though, there is some beautiful country in MN.

My 80 yo touring bud is currently doing BAK...Biking Across Kansas. A supported ride with about 800 cyclists. They're having consistent quartering tailwinds, riding west to east.

Hey 5kdad, fyi, next spring, the Arkansas Bicycling Club is going to host an across the state of Arkansas tour, probably going thru more central and southern Arkansas in case you're interested. It might be convenient since so close to home and yet could be a very different route than what you did before. If you're ever interested, contact the ABC.

My cousin has ridden RAIN - Ride Across Indiana and is planning to do it again this year. About 160 miles in one day from Terre Haute to Richmond.
