Kool-Stop Salmon v Red

Anyone ever use the colored Kool-Stops that are formulated to be in-between salmon and black? I put in an order to Niagara earlier, and noticed when I was punching the info into my bike cost spreadsheet that I inadvertently ordered the red Kool-Stops instead of salmon (stupid cart emptying itself in the middle of my shopping and rushing to refill it ). I didn't even realize there were options other than salmon and black until then.

Is it a big enough difference I should call them up and try to change it, or just roll with the reds?

Kool-Stop says the red and other non salmon or black colors are "semi-aggressive". How much of a diff that is to the salmon, I don't know. Probably can't hurt to try them. If they are even half as good as the salmon they get a from me. I'm currently using the salmon on my Ridley and wonder why I have gone so long without them...

Yeah, that's how I figured out what they were to begin with. Was just curious if anyone had real life comparisons.

I'll give them a shot, since I don't really feel like trying to call them and change my order.

Please post a review after you try them. I've used the Salmon, Black, and the Combo. I'm not sure I could tell which was on the bike w/o looking.

I also once inadvertently ordered red. Frankly, you won't be able to tell the difference.

I have not used the red ones but have preferred the black over the salmon. I found the salmon to be grabby and prone to squealing. So I wonder if the red might actually be a nice compromise.
