DIY saddle bag

Hi everyone,

I found a small (toiletry) bag that I would like to repurpose as a seat/saddle/handlebar bag and I was wondering how many of you have tried a similar idea before and how did you attach it. Any ideas?

Thanks

I still use an old camera bag as my seat bag. Stitched some nylon tape, with velcro stitched onto the ends, onto the back of the bag and use this to loop under the seat rails and under the bag and attach to itself to secure it. Has worked for more than 10 years...

Google: Baylis & Harding (for him) bag (it's a herringbone toiletry bag in gray) I do not have a camera bag for that o

I am not exactly sure how high or low should I put the loop to make it look decent.

I actually used 3 loops. One at the front to attach around the seatpost, one midway along the length of the bag and the final one near the rear end of the bag. The middle one is simply a loop of velcro tape which is not attached to the bag but helps keep it close to the saddle. I don't really care how it looks - it simply has to function.
