Prague - Camping

I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations concerning campgrounds around Prague. Anything within 20km of the city would be fine.

I've been to Prague but not with my bike or camping.

However, I am a fan of an app named iOverlander and I looked in this app for places near Prague. It came up two reports from people that had stayed at the following place: https://www.caravancamping.cz/english.php one in 2016 and one in 2017 and they gave ok comments.

I stayed in a hotel in Prague about a half decade ago. If you do not find a campground that meets your needs, I think there is an HI Hostel there. But since I stayed at a hotel I have no opinion of the hostel. The hotel I stayed at, right after I checked in with my credit card, my credit card was shut down for attempted fraud so I am not recommending the hotel either.

Look at Eurocamping; they show 15 campgrounds near Prague. Eurocamping

We found that hotels were relatively inexpensive in Prague, and when we went through there it was raining pretty hard so we opted for warm and dry

Thanks Mev and Doug64, good sources of information. That should be enough to put me on the right path.

Quite a few places on the outskirts of town. Prague has numerous parks, many have a camping area. Here is one such example in Divorka Sarka, a nice park between downtown and the airport that I liked to spend time in when I lived there: https://www.campdzban.eu/en/about-the-camp/, looks to be about $6USD after exchange rate per night.

I will agree with Doug, hostels are fairly cheap there too. Hostel World shows dorms from $12, and private rooms form $50 or so.

Hostels are pretty low on my list of places I'd consider. I can see there are quite a few campgrounds in the area, I was just wondering if anyone had first hand experience. As I head further east I'm pretty sure that there will be more hotel like accommodations in the mix as the prices are likely to get lower.

Ah, Prague. Lovely city. Biked there at the end of my tour 20 years ago. Sigh. Sorry - I stayed in a hostel back then. I have no constructive comment for you.
