Get Ready for Go Greenbelt! 2001

Now in its 12th year, Go Greenbelt! helps raise funds and awareness
for the Greenbelt Alliance's efforts to preserve Bay Area open space.
This year's ride is scheduled for April 22 to 28.

Go Greenbelt! rides through some of the Greater Bay Area's most
scenic back roads -- 480 miles over 7 days during the peak of
wildflower season. Past participants have ranged from 20 to 70 years
old.

The entry fee is $50, and each rider must raise an additional $550.
Riders who raise more are eligible for fun prizes including bicycles,
equipment, clothing, and a Backroads trip.

Throughout the trip, Go Greenbelt! riders also join local activists
at press conferences that highlight the value of protecting our
Greenbelt and building more compact communities.

The ride coincides with local Earth Day festivities, so it's also a
great way to demonstrate your commitment to the environment.

For more information and to obtain a registration form, contact
Greenbelt Alliance at (415) 398-3730 or https://www.greenbelt.org.
