90's mountain geometry for the win
Just recently picked up a New Albion The Drake frameset from Merry Sales Co. Got the last one in 56cm. I bought it because I didn't want to mod for disc brakes the touring frame I made about 10 years ago, plus the frame geometry is right up my alley, ie 90's era mountain bike, and it will take 3 wheel sizes.
Now that perfectly good 700c wheeled custom touring rig sits in the basement neglected. I have even borrowed the seat post from it to put on The Drake, and I don't feel bad about it. What have I done?

I bought my Lynskey Backroad frame about a month after that tour, but the Sherpa is a good bike, I probably would use it again if I do another rail trail tour. The Sherpa can take wider tires than the Lynskey.

I suspect something similar will happen when I finish building the Jamis Renegade. Crank should be shipped this week then to finalize brakes/shifters. At least the soon to be ignored bike has been claimed by my daughter who is quickly growing into it. #thebikelife
