Bikes: Bike Friday (NWT), Rocky Mountain Blizzard 30.

Helmets

A friend sent me a few picks of cycling that I thought is a bit out of my league. I also thought it might not really matter if these guys wore helmets or not. What do you think.

Not sure who the other guy is, but I'm pretty sure the guy in orange is Hans Rey. To him, that's like riding down the sidewalk.

You would need to have total confidence in the mechanical integrity of your bicycle before attempting something like that.

And even if a tire doesn't blow and all the bolts stay tight, anything that causes even a momentary loss of control could lead to death. There is little or no margin for error.

I would not take the risk, with or without a helmet.
