Review: Showers Pass Storm Pant

Good review Russ. Appreciate hearing about your experiences with all the things you have tried throughout your journey and I am glad you are continuing to share. For $60 I would expect waterproof to meet the definition as you know it. I bought an inexpensive ($50 each) rain jacket/shell and pair of pants made be Helly Hanson several years ago and they have been truly waterproof - until this year, when the inner coating on the jacket has started to wear out and allow my shoulders to get wet if I am out in the rain for any length of time. I am going to see if I can somehow re-coat the inside of the jacket. Hope Portland turns out to be a good place for you and Laura to get some R&R, plans made, and recharge.
