It's clear that they didn't expect nor plan on the volume of sales that they got. I understand that it was a great deal, and nearly too good to be true... However, when customers place an order at a set price. There should be some obligation to uphold their end of the deal and honor those prices rather than just canceling people's orders. The customers had done their part(as shown by the funds being held by BestBuy on my statements for 2 months). There is no way that they were truly "backordered" for two months, they simply didn't make the effort to obtain the products to fulfill the orders they had already sold. Sad but true.
I managed to get the frontrollers for a great deal, so it was not a total loss. And yesterday I used my 20% off REI coupon and year end dividend to order a set of the back-roller classics. So in the end, I'm out of pocket $130 for front and rear ortliebs(with discounts, dividend, and BB gift card I had).

Go to their home page and it's prominently displayed. I wasn't notified either. Log in and you can use your dividend immediately in conjunction with the 20% off coupon code (MEM2011) or something like that. I just picked up a new Novara Safari for $400 after all the discounts/dividends!

I've calculated that with my dividend, and the 20% members sale code, I can get a set of Ortlieb Sportpacker Plus for about $70.00.

Sorry for being so lame and posting before doing that simple check. I was excited to hear the news because I had been planning all year to use it for a Dahon Mu Uno folding bike, but I've been thwarted: Novaras are the only bikes for which it is applicable. Oh well.. life goes on!
