Some friends and I are planning a 2-3 week self-contained trip from Missoula MT to Frisco CO following ACA's TransAmerica route. This will be a maiden voyage for a new Waterford T-22 which is do in any week now. Can't wait for both.

I'm getting stoked for my first multi-week, fully loaded tour this summer: south from Seattle, through the Cascades and over to the Oregon coast, then south to San Diego. Starts Memorial Day, looking to arrive in San Diego on the 4th of July. Doing it with some good friends from grad school for a really great cause with Bike the US for MS.

I did a five-day mini-tour to Indianapolis and back. It's my first tour that was more than overnight. I had a blast and want to do more, but time, work, money...
I have several ideas. I have friends and family in Michigan. My wife has family in West Virginia, so maybe I can squeeze in a one-way trip, and let her drive me home.

LaPorte to Greeley Colorado via the river trail in July for the Blues festival. I know I know, how exotic. But it will be my first bicycle vacation and I have been reading the touring section here so this is a good place to say thanks for all the tips and info.
I figured most of my peers would find me insane for doing this, but several want to ride sections of the trail with me on the way out or back and one guy wants to do the 35 miles out with me on his fixie.
Could be the start of a new addiction.

I'm biking across Canada starting in Vancouver. Me and my girlfriend will be riding a tandem bike with a trailer. We're leaving the beginning of May and can't wait!

I feel so unworthy! All that's on the boards right now is a meander that'll remain in a circle within 50 miles of Camp Stewart in GA. Looking at alot of dirt road/goat path exploring. If I can get the time I'd love to re explore Block Island.

I'll be doing one or two night bike camping trips whenever work permits, until July. Then, I'll be leaving home with my bike, my touring gear, and my meager savings, to see where the road takes me . If I can, I hope to fit RAGBRAI into that, too, this year.

A few 2-3 overnight trips around the local region here...the first one begins Tuesday 5 April for a 3 day short tour. Several overnight trips. RAGBRAI self supported is about the longest trip this year. TransAm (Yorktown to Florence to San Francisco) next year.

Every day a winding road
Selkirk Loop with 2 or 3 friends this September.
Then maybe the Great Allegheny Passage for a long weekend, just because it is pretty much right outside mu front door.

Main tour is going to be the month of June doing a big figure 8 of almost all the famous cols of the French Alps. Just got our new passports today! Officially all set to go now. 9 weeks today, can't wait!

Not so! Machka and I are strong advocates of exploring your own region, too. Hub-and-spoke tours are working well for us at the moment. And Machka very recently mentioned that she might like to get her MTB is shape to explore some of the myriad gravel roads in our region. That opens up our horizons much further.

I'll be doing a long weekend out of Beijing this weekend. Probably a week-long tour at the end of April. In the fall I'll have two months to do something bigger. Maybe I'll dash through the southern US.

Doing a 2-4 week jaunt about Michigan. No planned itinerary just wandering with a few days off in Traverswe City area for visits with family and friends. I'll do a couple overnighters also.

Me too! Cross-Canada tour starting from Vancouver in May - solo, though. I'm getting pretty giddy about it! Hopefully our paths will cross

Wow, everyone's plans sound so exciting and exotic. By contrast, I'm hoping to get out to my cottage and back (about 100 km altogether). If that works out, I have a rail-trail route in Quebec in mind for midsummer. I'm a complete beginner, so I'm starting small.

I'm planning a week and a half of off road goodness from Grand Junction, CO to Moab, UT, with lots of side trips, good friends and microbrews and scotch.

I'm planing a two week trip across the Icelandic Highlands in august, hoping to cross from south to north and back again by two different routes - with some detours. I just hope late summer here will be relatively dry, since there are a couple of large rivers to ford, which might prove troublesome if there has been a lot of rain. Aside from that there might be a few overnighters or weekend trips, if I can fit them in.

Just Pittsburgh to DC here. My girls are 4 years old and not quite ready for a long tour so will do that one alone. Will probably do an overnight with them to camp during the summer (just a 20 mile trip each way). Headed to look at triplets on Sunday!

One other thing we're considering is touring with another method of human-powered transportation ... our canoe.
We have a very large lake nearby (the road around the lake is 200 km) that is shaped like a spider with inlets sprawled all over the place. We are considering spending a weekend canoeing, and camping overnight wherever we happen to find a good spot on shore.

Looking forward to a week on the Katy Trail. Then occasional 2 or 3 day biking/camping trips through summer and fall.
