Touring Bike Fit
Hi All, Earlier this year I built up my first touring bike and the prevailing wisdom was to fit it like my well fit road bikes. While the fit was comfortable I've slowly been changing it to a slightly more upright posture over the last 300-400 miles. The last alteration was to move my brake levers up 2 cm on the handle bar.
It doesn't seem me that's changing as I can ride the road bike and I'm perfectly comfortable and it's just right for me. With the T bike I just wasn't getting the "just right for me" part.
Are other cyclists with both touring and road frames more upright on their touring bikes?
TIA,
Brad

I think most touring cyclists do set their touring bikes up for a more upright posture, but it is personal preference. My preference is for the same fairly aggressive position on both.

On a popular Touring route , We see all sorts.. Goal oriented milage counters,
and those that like the pace that gets them from Paris, to Brest, and back in the allotted time..
and those that look around, and stop in a lot of places that piques their curiosity,
JRA as far as they get, in the period of time they want to be riding, on any given day ..
assess if you can ride all day in the type of riding that suits you best .

10 Wheels, The only time I actually have planned is the Moonlight Ramble, a nearly annual ride since '85 for me. Things just have been a bit hectic lately, but would love to go out with y'all. Let me know what your riding schedule is, please.
Thanks for the replies about the fit, hopefully this last adjustment will be the final one.
