Whichever you get, they'll rock....because they're Ortliebs. Seriously, ours get use every single day and I've gone down a few times with them, and they're just tough as nails. I can see how these last people well over a decade.

BTW...I also forgot to mention that the compression strap of one of my Bike Packer Plus panniers ripped clean off where it attaches to the outside pocket cover. This happened on the seventh day of use. Seems it had not been attached properly. Since I had bought my set from TheTouringStore.com, it was replaced, no questions asked, after I emailed Wayne a photo. They even covered the shipping for the return of the defective pannier.

Hi,
I've used the Front Roller Pluses and Backroller Classics. I'm very happy with them.
Don't leave sharp objects loose in them. If you do, and discover independently why you shouldn't, then McNett SeamGrip does a wonderful job sealing them up again (at least, it works on the Classics).
I use them everyday, commuting.
Also, you can put a second set of hooks on the rails (on the Backrollers at least, it fits). This might be useful if you're carrying heavy things or riding on rough surfaces. Not that I've heard of them breaking...

FYI - Ortliebs are 25% off at REI right now...just bought front and rear sets (finally) after making due with cheap bags for years. They don't have the full selection of bags, or colors, but it's still as good a price on Ortliebs as I've ever seen.
