Touring Bike ID help.
Hi all,
I was wondering whether any of you might be able to help me identify my bicycle? As in frame and model... I can't see any stickers at all on the frame that are suggestive of where and by whom it was made...
It does however bear a great many similarities to the frames made by Jalon Hawk of Desperado Cycles. I've searched on the web for Desperado Cycles and haven't heard great things.
Regardless, here's a picture of the bike itself.

I've got other pictures of other parts (Which I was advised to post up that might help with ID) here.
There is no serial number to speak of. There is however a '00' number on a sticker underneath the bottom tube - this came up zilch on a Google search. It's got proper front suspension, weighs about 40 pounds, it has 700x38c wheels. It came with a red "Kelowna Cycles" sticker on it, there is also an "Avid" sticker on the top tube. And, as you can see, the bottom tube has "Rensch Bike-Sport" decal'd on there.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Jack.

Indeed! As it turns out, I have not. Having spoken to the woman who sold me the bike, had the bike commissioned - or rather adapted for touring - by her brother in Switzerland. I'm guessing he's a bike mechanic of some sort.
