I'm a cycling coach for NYC high schools. In July we are doing a 7 day college bike tour from Syracuse to West Point. About 60-80 miles a day with 10 students from our program. We also have a SAG van for supplies and an extra bicycle.

I'm planning on doing my first ever tour, from Providence Rhode Island to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Mid-August to the end of September. My girlfriend and I just graduated from college here in Providence, and she moved back home with her family to Steamboat. This way I can scratch my itch for a long distance bike tour, and get back to my baby!

Plus a bunch of short tours, mainly of the hub-and-spoke variety ... but we've been talking about doing an overnighter from home at some point.

The idea of doing a canoe overnighter has come up as well, now that we have our canoe again. We'll see.
We've been to Canada ... and just did some hub-and-spoke/day tour stuff. But we're still hoping for some local tours come summer.

I am trying to arrange a tour of Cuba, cycling 90% of Cuba. The time I have chosen is fairly well all of January, February.
Arrive in Havana staying in Casta's particular.

I am in Greenwood Nova Scotia as it stands we have possible three from here. Nevertheless the invitation is for anyone to come along.

I'm in Bulgaria. Been riding a few days, have a few more left.

Soon I'll be heading into Macedonia, then Serbia, Kosovo (the order of those is important), Albania, and Montenegro.

Things could change, especially if the refugee crisis gets any worse.

I am headed on my second unsupported mini-tour in two weeks. We are riding a 100 mile loop. Riding out 50 miles then camping out overnight then coming back the next day. It is MA/NH border area. It is on a weekend. I need to get in as much of this as possible before the very cold weather arrives.

Spent a week touring Arkansas in early April, still crummy weather around here at that time
Hit the northern woods of Wisconsin for a week in June
Then a week in northern Michigan, lower peninsula this time, during July, a little cooler up there makes for nice riding conditions
Next week, I'm in central Missouri and taking in some of the Great River trail along the Mississippi as well.
Had a couple quickie weekends of out and back

Next year a few of us are talking about doing the Santa Monica, CA to Chicago along the famed old Route 66. It should be interesting.

I'm very new to the concept of bike touring but I'm fascinated with the idea. Before bad weather sets in for the winter I've decided to take a short (40 miles) ride to a campground this weekend to see how I like it. The weather looks like it's going to cooperate so hopefully I'll learn some do's and don'ts from the trip. I've also made reservations at a state park about 200 miles away for next summer so that will be my next adventure.

I'm pretty much finished with 2015 after a couple long tours this summer except maybe weekenders, but
I'm already in the market for tour plans for 2016. So if you live in western Washington state, I looking
others to ride with either supported or self contained. I am 67 yrs. old, but still good for 30/40 miles
a day at a relaxed pace. My budget's not really compatible with credit card touring. I have a few
routes in mind, but I'm fully open to more. Example: Historic Columbia Trail from Portland to Cascade Locks.
Done this, lotta summer traffic, but pleasant late April thru May. You must know some you'd like to try.

Louis, This is late coming, but if you've not yet made that ride, the Historic Columbia trail parallel to 84 from
Portland to Cascade Locks is a nice ride, scenic, lots of other riders. Don't ride the Washington side before you
reach The Dalles,(dangerous). Or 26 east out of Portland is a more serene option than 84, just be sure to have
plenty of fluids when you hit eastern Oregon. Its a long way between convenience stores. The jackrabbits
have to pack a thermos.

I rode recently on the York County Heritage Trail in SE Pennsylvania. I had biked on it previously, but I don't recall that it was so wide as it is now. The contrast between it and the Torrey C. Brown Trail (formerly Northern Central Railroad Trail) in northern Maryland is striking. The two trails meet at the Mason-Dixon line. The Maryland trail is narrow and mostly in the forest and is quite pretty in places. The Pennsylvania trail is more open, wide with an excellent surface, and goes through several small towns and the "big city" of York. I read that the Pennsylvania trail is being extended north of York.
