Updated VO Campeur for touring this winter
Hey guys and gals,
I remain off the bike, since October 22nd to be exact. But I have settled into a few upgrades over the winter to make my bike more enjoyable come spring when I can hopefully ride again. I get my shoulder operated on in February and hopefully all goes well. My fracture is healing well but there was some deeper concerns within with my cuff.
So I set about setting up the VO with some improvements. One, I shed the Axiom front rack and invest in a Tubus that I believe will work better and offer some stability as well. I also invested in a SP-dynamo hub that I am quite pleased with as well. It seems to be well made and should last me through some good touring. I also started carrying the Sinwave products and am very much impressed by the revolution. A Sanyo headlamp was another upgrade and I am happy to say it seems like a good investment.
Now all I need is for a recovered shoulder so I can function fully again, and then maybe I can get my job back which looks sketchy right now. Although I must admit, it is the last of my worries and I am not pleased where I am at right now, so this may be a prime opportunity to make my move to a warmer, more stable region with options to open my business full time and enjoy more of what life has to offer other than the rigors of a wage slave.
Any advice on a nice mild temperature southern home? Here's some pics I took real quick of my VO.
