Thanks. I think the bike was the best $250 I ever spent.

here is mine, pretty basic bike. Had to get the frame, as not much else stock was large enough.
Didn't want to spend the money on a custom frame & fork yet.

It's a 1993 Yamaguchi that was originally Nick Cheowths.
I'm lucky that I'm tall enough to ride it, it's fast as hell, and we'll be going to the Superdrome later this season.

Just some guy selling it locally. I think he's the last person to know that track bikes are more valuable than that. He sort of lived out in the sticks with his wife and kids, so I don't think he cared much, and he told me that $250 is what he paid, and he was only trying to make his money back.
It was $250 for everything sans front-wheel. I swapped out his parts with some of my own, and I'll sell the rest on eBay when the boycott ends next week.

Don, question for you on tandem geometry. When making a tandem frame, is it difficult to make the top tube/head tube the correct length for a small pilot (or driver? I'm not sure what the correct name is for the rider in front.) The reason I ask is, I had an inexpensive (Kuwahara) touring tandem once and the top tube was a bit long for me. I currently am comfortable on a 51cm Bianchi Pista. I would love to have another tandem in the future. What can you tell me about the relative difficulty of building a racing tandem for a smaller rider.

thanks! its a shi tamori peloton keirin frame. filet brazed kasei 4130-R oversized tubing with aero fork and seatstays.
zipp 440 front 'n rear that i managed to score in separate deals. front 16h zipp carbon low flange hub, radial laced, bladed spokes, rear 28h SSP hub, radial non drive side and 2cross drive side (bladed too).
SSP cranks with a zen track chainring, dura ace HS, hatta 9400 BB, salsa stem, thomson setback post, regal saddle and custom powdercoated nitto 123AA's that my girlfriend got for me from No Brakes! in Atlanta.
i rode the frame with mostly different components last season and its really amazing. i'm pushing 48x15 and unless i can bulk up at least 10 lbs before may i think i might drop down a bit. even with this wheelset i'm not much of a masher.
the handlebars are amazing. i was going to get my old drops copper plated at a place in NJ, but then my girlfriend got me these for christmas.
i loooove this bike.
oh, and that Erba you've got is super cool. who makes that seatpost? its gorgeous!

It's an American Classic that I painted and airbrushed with the frame. The paint got a little messed up so I'm looking for a Dura-Ace or another silver American Classic.

Track use only.
I love this bike. It hard to find something that fits a short lady such as myself and this this is perfect.

aka mattio
since it appears in the photo that dogpound posted, i'll throw up a picture of my pogliaghi. it's my kissena bike, built for a sprinter who was probably a whole lot sprinty-er than i am. but i'll hold my own. campy cranks, zeus pista hubs, and i love to ride it.

I'm pretty excited to get out to kissena this year.
