Off-Season training for Road Race...

Hey all, I just joined a junior road cycling team and only was able to race one crit and on tt. Anyway, it's the off-season for road now, and I was wondering what a good schedule would be like. I have a good 5-6 months before any racing occurs and I don't want to be peaking during my off-season. Should I just be getting some base miles in or should I be still training every day for 20-30 miles like my normal routine. I did place a hold for Chris Charmicheals books at the library.

BTW: I am 15 yrs old, 145 lbs, about 5' 11.

I would think that building a really good base would be the way to go. This is especially true because of your age. Building up really dense muscles is something that will benefit you for the rest of your life, you can focus more on strength later on.
