Heartrate Monitor: Help!
I have an Impulse 9 HRM made for Pulse Time Products Ltd. in the UK. The manual states that the battery(ies) should last about two years; and it's time change mine. Manual has no instructions on this procedure. Does anyone know how? Are there two batteries, or does it operate with a transponder in the chest unit?
Thanx for any help.

Well I can't say details about your brand but I can share a little about mine.
Yes there are two batteries but the one in the watch will last much longer than the one in the chest strap. No way my chest strap battery even lasted one year. I think they must base that on Joe Fatty only working out once a week for 20min
The chest strap batteries are not cheap; I think I had to pay like 18cnd for two. To replace I just had to peel back a sticker and take off a little metal plate.
I know it's time to replace when I start getting screwy readings like a HR of 275 or something impossible.

Check the manufacturer´s website, maybe you will have to send the watch to the manufacturer in order to change the battery.
