Depends on how long the ride has been.

After a short ride - something light with a big drink of water.

After a very long ride - anything that's not nailed down.

A homemade meal replacement shake with varied ingredients. For recovery from a long ride I go with something like whey protein, two eggs, oatmeal, frozen berries/bananas/cantalope,walnuts,dried coconut plus a few dried apricots/dates/figs. Basically anything calorie and nutrient dense that I can throw in a blender.

Bikes: 2002 Specialized Allez; STILL drooling over Specialized Epic from afar.

Protein shake made with Silk Chocolate soy milk, chocolate protein powder, and whatever fruit. Then whatever gigantic meal I feel like stuffing my face with

Snack? Or meal? After a long ride (5 hours or more), I'm ready for something more than a sip of water and a cucumber finger-sandwich. I know some of you will cringe at this but after 100 miles of riding, I usually like to dive into a big steak. Oh, and that pint of Guinness doesn't hurt either.

PB&J with milk or yogurt and water/juice. Usually I go through my used powergel wrappers and squeeze out the last drops too

Long or short ride it is the same food, just different quantities.
