Plyometrics and Training
Just wondering who here incorporates plyometrics into their training and how? Lately i've been thinking about ditching weights and just going with plyometrics but i'm unsure of making these specific workout days or combining them with cycling workouts (Carmichael wrote an interesting article where suggests doing some before a sprint/interval workout). Any tips or strategies would be appreciated.

Bikes: Junk, that is why I am here. :-)
Are you a serious professional athlete with a great training gym? I would say otherwise intervals would be a better thing.

Main training strategy: no injuries. One injury can ruin your whole season. Then what training plan you were going to use becomes irrelevant.

I haven't figured out my timing yet but I plan on incorporating some. I do a short wake up workout where I jumprope to warm things up and then jump around. Did Carmichael say why he recommended it before a sprint workout?

Strength training is simply good for everyone, especially as we age.
You can google Plyometrics and get plenty of workouts. I believe functional strength moves, bodwieght stuff, core, etc can easily be done at home. All you need to start is a step up box, and some cones. It is not dangerous if you ease into it and watch your form.
It may not make you a faster cyclist, but big deal if you spend 30 min 2-3X a week on it. It would not hurt you in my opinion, and possibly prevent injuries. Definitely good for triathletes and just looking good.
