watts pedaling vs. watts normalized
hey, so i finished a ride, and i was looking at it in poweragent, and poweragent gives you tons of averages. one thing i had never noticed before was that it showed normalized power, and average power while pedaling power. my np was 188, and my average power while pedaling was 195 (i am not a weakling, i just weigh 105 pounds
). What is the difference between the two?

Normalised power takes into account variations in power and tries to give the steady power output that would be just as "hard" for you. It normally is a bit higher than avg power. You should also pay attention if the times that you are standing still are in the calculation or not. With your numbers it seems as if NP was calculated including stops, while avg power was without stops.
