Injured!
So my first tri is to be Oct. 31. This past Friday I wrecked on my bike while training. The left side of my body is road rash and my right thumb got caught on my handlebars and is sprained at the very least. Looks like itll be a few more months before I will get to tri again.
Hopefully Ill be okay for the Tour de Tucson, though my training is now thrown way off!!!

So what do you guys think about getting back out to train. I likely wont listen and will be running
tomorrow but just for thought: My thumb is severely sprained, still swollen today (3 days later) and my left side of my body is road rash. I know running will cause my hand to swell, maybe swimming is the best thing to do first? My lower body is a bit tweaked: my left hamstring feels pulled. I have stretched. I do not like to sit around and I took off a few days last week after a marathon, I am itching to train. I know I have a problem...

Something more rehab-like than running would be in order. Try swimming, some elliptical work, and other no-impact activities. If I can't convince you to let the body be by idling for a few days, I would at least suggest that. Carry on.
