This is a cycling forum, so no doubt the replies will be tilted in that direction. I very much enjoy cycling, but like the OP my first passion is also running.
Alas, like OP, I'm currently sidelined from running due to injury!

I like them both but if I were forced to pick only one I would probably go with running. Which is weird because I'm a crazy-slow clyde.

I love riding my bike and swimming, but the easiest way for me to get a really tiring workout with my erratic schedule is running.

I prefer cycling. I entered 2 sprint tri's a few years ago, but didnt have time to train. I have been entering more long distance cycling events the past 3 years, but would not mind doing some more tri's again.

I run only if a Zombie is chasing me.

I prefer riding but do some moderate jogging only to keep the legs in best shape I can. Running is to hard on my joints.
I also lift weights 2-3 times a week.

I only do triathlon because pure open water swim races are nowhere to be found where I live.

I just started running again this past week. I am trying to run minimum 5k-10k about 5 times a week. Running completely blows compared to cycling in almost every aspect. Really the best plus to running, is you can do it anytime, anywhere and all you need are your shoes. But I am hoping to never have to feel that pain in my legs the first 3 days after my first 2 runs. (I haven't run since high school like 12-13 years ago) I do feel as though it helps me keep motivated on the bicycle more and certainly helps me feel better while pedaling.

So you are running 25-50k a week.I do about half that because I have to take a day off in between other wise I notice my calves start pulling.I like to keep it short but fast anyway 5ks and sprint intervals.
So how many hours do you ride,do you race? cos you mustbe putting in 5 hours a week running

As mentioned aboved. I did just start. but my goal is easily 25k/week in the shoes. On the bike, I seem to be averaging between 60-100 miles week give or take depending on time, weather and schedule. If it stayed lighter out longer, I am sure it would be much closer to 200 miles.

The storm is going to make running/cycling hard either way over the next few days. I will see if I can get out later if the wind/rain die down a bit.
