Question How does the Burlley Classic Hitch work?

I have a rack on my bike and I'm wondering if the rack will block where the hitch attaches to the seat stay.

No, it shouldn't. I just got a Burley and it is great, I can get a pic of the hitch on
the bike if you like? Let me know.

One part goes in the V of the seat and chain stay, the other under the chain stay
and the clamp goes on top of the seat stay, confused??? It is so simple it makes
you wonder??

This was great, thank you very much! I'll see where I can order the hitch now...

I've used the Classic Hitch on a bike with a rear rack. No problem at all. Lots of clearance.

If you're worried, you could always go for the newer alloy hitch. Amazon carries them both, and the alloy model is a bit cheaper.

Alloy forged one is held on by QR, I think the stock of the CoOp's 'alternative hitch'
was not re ordered, by the new owners, the hitch is Part of a different QR.

It was free to rotate around the the QR and thus hub axis. ..

If the quick release is loose enough to allow the forged hitch to rotate freely, you're also running the risk of your wheel falling out. It comes with and requires no special quick release (and in fact would work with the OP's bolt-on axle just as well).

<-- That's all there is to it.

yea, thats not the alternative hitch the Burley Co Op designed and carried,
like I said they are no longer sold, new..

you can get the Above , hitch at present , It pivot's just around the pin thru the elastomer..
